There’s an Iceberg Out There.

I am so glad you are interested in finding out more about eternal life. I am amazed at how many people seem to have no interest in the subject. But that is like being on the Titanic and not being interested in the life boats. There was plenty to distract one on that cruise ship. There was live music, dancing, hight society, great food, games and many, many other distractions. There were the rich and famous. There was the newness of the ship on its virgin voyage. And like our life, it only had one trip, one chance before the end came. There was the heady confidence that the Titanic was unsinkable. Many today think they are indestructible or at least have a lot of life in front of them before having to consider the function of the life boats. But like the Titanic, our lives are unpredictable and the icy ending could strike at any moment.

It was a great tragedy that there were not enough life boats to accommodate all passengers that fateful day of April 15, 1912. More that 1,500 died. But do you know what is a greater tragedy that is going to occur on our little maiden voyage we call life? Our life is like being on the Titanic. It is going to sink and most are going to perish. And this time there are plenty of seats on the life boat for everybody. That is a greater tragedy. But most people will slip into the icy waters instead of being saved in the life boat. Jesus is the life boat. Do you have your seat reserved?

In the gospel of Matthew, in chapter 7 verses 13 and 14, Jesus tells us that we should make Heaven our destiny. Here are those two verses written out for you:

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it”.

God does not want anyone to perish. Explore this website and find out about the only destiny that makes any sense; eternal life.

The quality of your life here and now can be fantastically impacted for the good. And your eternity will be infinitely greater if you choose God, His love and His Heaven. In other words, heaven as opposed to the other place. Keep reading:

Spoiler Alert

Attention all humankind! I have bad news for you (but it can be good news). We are all going to die. That’s no surprise. You have understood since childhood that all living things at some point give up the ghost. Death is just a part of life. And some would say, “Yeah, the last part.” But that isn’t true. After death, there are two kinds of existence but only two. One is Heaven and the other is Hell.

Now you may not believe there are such places or at least not Hell. I believe in both but here’s the thing. My belief in God and Heaven and Hell do not make them materialize. And likewise, a person’s disbelief in God, Heaven and Hell do not make them go away. God exists and nothing and no-one can change that. Heaven and Hell exist and nothing and no one can change that. But one very important change you can make is where you spend eternity.

I said earlier that dying can be a good thing. How? When it is the portal through which we are raised up into the very presence of our living God and ushered into Heaven, that is when it is a good thing.

FINDING VERSES: To find verses in the Bible, it is important to know how to read their reference or their address as it were. Verses are listed first by the name of the book, for instance John. Then the chapter is listed, for example chapter, 6. Then the number of the verse is listed, number 47 for instance. So it would look like this: John 6:47  book, chapter:verse.

Who does God want to send to Hell?

The answer is:

(Scroll down)

NO ONE

Ezekiel 33:11a “As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked…”

II Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise [the promise to come back to get His faithful followers], as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

I John 2:2 “He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world”.

So, nobody has to go to Hell. God has made the supreme sacrifice on our behalf  so that we can be received into Heaven. Of course, the sacrifice I am talking about is Christ’s work on the cross when he suffered, bled and died so that we could be made right with God. No one is capable of justifying themselves. No one is good enough nor could anyone ever be. As is made clear in the book of Romans, chapter 3, verse 23 which says: “ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” and also in Romans chapter 6 verse 23, we are all in debt and we have nothing (wages) with which to pay that debt. Rom. 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”.  Only Jesus has the riches to pay our debt. Believe in him. Receive him as your Lord and you will be given the right to be called a child of God. John chapter 1 verse 12 “..to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God”
